On Saturday the 13th of November Sigríður Elfa Sigurðardóttir introduced her work in our store at IÐA.
Sigríður Elfa graduated from art school but has been working in textile clothes designing for 10 years. She only uses natural fabrics such as wool and silk and buttons made from wood, bone and horn.
She mainly makes garment for adults, models as well as garments of which she makes a few items. She also makes a beautiful selection of accessories; shawls, purses, fingerless gloves and wrist-warmers. She knits and works wool for felting into the knitted thing, sews the garment and þæfir, so every piece is uniqe.
